About the station
Hello — this is VE7MHE, Mike's amateur radio station in the
North Okanagan region of British Columbia. The licence is issued under the
Basic with Honours qualification obtained in April 2019.
The station is a collection of VHF/UHF handhelds and mobile radios, plus a
digital hotspot — enough to work the local repeaters and see where the hobby
leads. Mike is a member of the
North Okanagan Radio Amateur Club
and
Radio Amateurs of Canada.

Space-weather data is most relevant to HF skywave propagation. Local VHF/UHF
repeater performance depends on other factors — line of sight, sporadic-E,
tropospheric ducting — and is rarely limited by Kp, solar flux, or sunspot number.
